WEATHER
It may be a new Year, but Brazil’s weather pattern isn’t changing. WeatherTrends360 experts predict that southern Brazil will continue to experience dry weather through 2022. Their data showed that 2021 saw the fifth-wettest December for Mato Grosso in more than 30 year, but the seventh-driest December in Rio Grande do Sul.
MACHINERY
Ford unveiled a new range of trucks and SUVs during the SEMA Show, Las Vegas, to close 2021. The new products include a brand-new Maverick pickup and 40 unique project vehicles that were developed in collaboration with aftermarket customizers. In his latest article, the New Products Editor summarizes some of most striking designs.
Ryan Roossinck highlights a piece of machinery that is headed to the auction block every week in his column, Interesting Iron. There were many notable pieces that sold at the end of 2021 but they didn’t make it into his regular article. These interesting trucks and tractor got another chance at the spotlight in a two-part series. The International Harvester 1586, a muscled-up model, sold for $24,100 at Lucerne, Missouri, and the International Harvester 806, which brought in $41,000 in Avoca (Iowa).
