Flood warnings and watches remain in effect in the South, as heavy rains and storms continue to fall across the region.
Through Friday, the flood danger will continue eastward towards the Appalachians & Mid-Atlantic.
Gusty winds, low humidity and persistent drought conditions will keep wildfire dangers high across the Great Basin Rockies and Intermountain West.
As we approach the weekend, the West will see rising temperatures that will only worsen droughts and wildfires.
The Northeast will enjoy pleasant weekends due to cooler temperatures and dry weather.
