The Northwest is being smothered by more heavy rains and mountain snow as several storms push inland over these next few days.

Some areas could receive 4 feet of fresh snow at higher elevations, such as the Cascades to the northern and central Rockies.
A separate storm is strengthening over the northern Plains and will bring snow and strong winds to the Midwest, Great Lakes and Midwest.
Blizzards are expected to hit the Dakotas and Minnesota.
This system will be accompanied by dangerous cold air, with sub-zero daytime temperatures in the Plains and that will spread to the south and west.
A new storm is expected to form along the arctic cold front in South.
This storm will track along the East Coast and create a significant storm. It could bring heavy snow, ice and very cold temperatures.
This will also affect areas that are still digging from more than a foot of snow in Mid-Atlantic.
