Friday night was marred by a wildfire that shut down Highway 1 in Monterey County. The flames leapt Highway 1 and burned both sides of the historic Rocky Creek Bridge.
Evacuation orders were issued for areas that could be in the path or flames at 9:30 p.m.
The Colorado Fire, also known as the Colorado Fire, was lit by high winds, but it happened during the rainy season, which is when fire weather is not usually expected.
