There’s plenty of winter to go around the country today, including areas across southern Texas and the Gulf Coast, where very cold air has settled in.

Rain, ice, and snow are possible in parts of the South and Northeast.
A winter storm warning has been issued for southern Texas. There are also winter weather advisories in place for parts of Louisiana, Mississippi, and central Texas.
These areas are extremely dangerous due to the presence of ice and snow.
Tonight and Friday will bring rain and freezing down parts of the Carolina coasts.
An ice storm warning has been issued in the event of accumulating ice making travel difficult and causing power outages.
Wind chill advisories and warnings are still in effect for the upper Midwest, where wind chills could drop to the minus teens or twenties.
The lake effect snow will continue for the next few days, and more rain and snow from the mountains will move into the Northwest today and Friday.
