Wyoming Highway Patrol released video this week showing how a Wyoming trooper narrowly avoided an SUV that had skidded off an unpaved road while he was working on a different car accident.
The officer can be seen walking back towards his patrol car, as 18-wheelers pass in freezing conditions.

Seconds later, an SUV comes soaring towards the officer. The officer dives out in order to stop the vehicle from sliding off the side.
Within seconds, the trooper appeared to be fine and had popped back up.
FOX 13 Salt Lake City reports the incident took place in Albany County. It is located about 25 miles from Laramie in southeast Utah. Fortunately, no one was hurt in the close call.
Many parts of Interstate 80, which runs east-west, and Interstate 25 which runs north-south, were closed this week because of icy conditions.
The Wyoming Highway Patrol warned that conditions continue to deteriorate rapidly across Wyoming. “Please slow down, be cautious, and plan ahead,” the Wyoming Highway Patrol warned.
